Massive cattle theft probed in north Qld

Thieves have stolen more than 400 cattle from a north Queensland property over a period of nine months.

Officers from the Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad are appealing for public help as they try to work out where the animals have gone.

Police say 426 Brahman cross breeder cows and bulls, aged between two and 10 years, were stolen from a paddock south of Charters Towers between July 2013 and March 2014.
