Man's racist rant over shop staff not speaking English
A man’s racially-charged rant about shop staff speaking to customers in Spanish instead of English has been caught on camera.
The footage was taken at a Fresh Kitchen in Manhattan, New York on Tuesday by outraged customers after the man started yelling at workers.
“Your staff are are speaking Spanish to customers when they should be speaking in English,” he can be heard saying in the video.
“Every person I listen to. He spoke it, she’s speaking it. It’s America.
“If they have the balls to come here and live off of my money, I pay for their welfare, I pay for their ability to be here. The least they could do is speak English.”
A customer, who chose to remain anonymous, told Eyewitness News the rant started after a customer started ordering their meal in Spanish.

“I just looked at him and said, ‘You’re very ignorant,'” she said.
“He said, ‘I’m highly educated and I doubt you are, and you need to go back to your country.’ I said, ‘Funny, I am in my country. I was born and raised here in New York.'”
She said the man eventually walked out of the shop after throwing his sandwich and drink.
