Man's odd feeling before $2.5m lotto win

A man who recently won $2.5 million playing Saturday Lotto has told of a strange feeling that urged him to buy a ticket.

The man said he was leaving Secret Harbour Shopping Centre, south of Perth, ahead of Saturday’s $20 million Superdraw when something lured him back inside, according to Lotterywest.

“I was heading back to the car from grocery shopping when something was pulling me to go back and grab a ticket,” he said.

He went back inside to The Lucky Charm Secret Harbour and purchased a ticket.

It wasn’t until he was called by the lottery that he realised his hunch was correct and he was now a millionaire.

“When I realised it wasn’t a hoax, I was shocked and still am in a state of shock today,” he said.

The man had to split the $20 million jackpot with seven other division one winning entries from Saturday’s draw.

The winning numbers were 1, 3, 4, 22, 42 and 43 with the supplementaries 24 and 25.
