Man's chilling Facebook video before crash kills girlfriend, two others

A man appeared to be drinking a beer while driving in a Facebook Live video just moments before a fatal crash which killed three people including his girlfriend.

Camilo Morejon, 47, broadcasted the live stream on Sunday (local time) as he drove in Houston, Texas, the county’s prosecutor said.

Morejon – who was later charged with three counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault, according to KPRC Click2Houston – is seen drinking beer with his girlfriend who sits in the front passenger seat.

She too is shown sipping a Corona with her feet on the dashboard.

Harris County prosecutor Sean Teare told KPRC at one point Morejon says in Spanish he drives better when he drinks.

The video was time-stamped at 7.47am (local time). The crash occurred just minutes later at 7.53am after Morejon collided with a ute.

It is also alleged Morejon was speeding.

The crash killed three people – all passengers in Morejon’s car including his girlfriend. The 47-year-old remains in hospital in a critical condition, the Houston Chronicle reported.

The trio have been named by NBC News as 35-year-old Leosveyks Gonzalez, 40-year-old Ricardo Rodriguez Tamayo and 32-year-old Massel Rodriguez Tamayo.

The ute driver remains in a serious condition.

If the ute driver dies there is a chance Morejon will be charged with further offences.
