Mandy Moore Shares Heartbreaking Update After Evacuating Family From LA Fires: 'So Gutted'

Mandy Moore is giving her followers an update after evacuating her home due to the raging wildfires in Los Angeles.

After sharing via Instagram on Tuesday night that she and her husband Taylor Goldsmith had safely evacuated their property and brought their children and pets to safety, the This Is Us actress uploaded another post to share how her family has been holding up in the midst of the devastating tragedy.

"Grateful for the kindness of friends that we had a place to land last night," she wrote in an Instagram Story on Wednesday, Jan. 8. "Trying to shield the kids from the immense sadness and worry I feel."

In her post, Moore, 40, was cuddled up with her son, Oscar "Ozzie" Bennett, 2, who is one of three children she shares with Goldsmith, 39. The spouses are also parents to first-born son, August "Gus" Harrison, 3, and their newest addition, 3-month-old daughter Louise Everett.

"Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss," Moore added in her post on Wednesday.

As for their home, Moore wrote, "Don't know if our place made it," while using the Eaton Fire hashtag.

The Eaton Fire broke out north of Pasadena on Tuesday evening, and has caused several serious injuries and two deaths, according to the Los Angeles Times. The outlet reports that over 100 structures and 10,000 acres in Altadena and Pasadena have been destroyed by the Eaton Fire.

As of Wednesday morning, the Pacific Palisades Fire has burned more than 5,000 acres, burning down hundreds of homes along the Pacific Coast Highway. The Hurst Fire, meanwhile, has burned over 500 acres in the Sylmar neighborhood of L.A.

“We are absolutely not out of danger yet,” Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley said, while noting, "These fires are stretching the capacity of emergency services to the maximum limits."
