Manchester United and Club Brugge will meet on Thursday evening, hoping to keep alive their chances of European silverware by reaching the Europa League round of 16.

The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw a week ago, with the aftermath seeing much criticism of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team and also of the Belgian host city, with United fans complaining to officials about the treatment they received.

Back at Old Trafford for this fixture, United will hope to extend a six-game unbeaten streak – though Club Brugge have themselves not lost a match in any competition since mid-December against Real Madrid.

The winners are likely to be in the next round with the likes of Wolves, Inter Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt, all of whom built up commanding first-leg leads – but there’s everything to play for in this one.

Here’s everything you need to know about the match:

When is it and what time is kick-off?

The match starts at 8pm on Thursday 27

What TV channel is it on?

As with all UEFA competitions this season, BT Sport have the rights. The game will be broadcast on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport Ultimate.

What is the team news?

Man United: Key duo Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford remain sidelined through injury. Axel Tuanzebe is a doubt. Solskjaer may opt to make changes again, as he did for the first leg, with Scott McTominay hoping for a recall after injury.

Club Brugge: Eder Balanta is suspended after his yellow card in the first leg. Kreptin Diatta is the only likely absentee through injury.

Predicted line-ups:

Man United: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Williams, Fred, McTominay, Greenwood, Fernandes, Mata, Martial

Club Brugge: Mignolet, Mata, Mechele, Deli, Kossounou, Vormer, Rits, Cuyper, Tau, Dennis, Vanaken

Prediction:

United should be confident after recent domestic wins over Chelsea and Watford and, even if Solskjaer changes the team around, they will have too much off the bench for Brugge to cope with.
