A heavily tattooed man, who has gone so far as to tattoo the whites of his eyes has revealed his very unique look has cost him his job teaching kindergarten students.
Sylvain Helaine, 35, who is known as France's most tattooed man, has even had his tongue inked.
The teacher lost his job at Docteur Morere Elementary School after parents of a three-year-old boy, who was not taught by Sylvain, complained their son was having nightmares after seeing his unique look according to CNN.
Sylvain claims that, despite an initial shock, his students are able to see past his appearance.
"All of my students and their parents were always cool with me because basically they knew me," he said.
"It's only when people see me from far away that they can assume the worst."
After being informed that he would no longer be teaching kindergarten children, Sylvain said, "I think the decision they took was quite sad."
A spokesperson said that they had come to an agreement where Sylvain will move away from teaching children under six, as they "could be frightened by his appearance".
Sylvain has no plans to change his career path, saying he loves his job, however, tattoo have been his "passion" since he got inked for the first time at 27 while working at a private school in London.
He said that he hoped that his appearance might show his students to accept people who are different from the norm, "Maybe when they are adults they will be less racist and less homophobic and more open-minded."
