Police have launched a murder probe after a man was stabbed to death in a village pub.
Two men have been arrested after the incident at the Cricketers Inn in Meopham near Gravesend in Kent on Saturday night (5 November), which saw another man rushed to hospital where he is in a stable condition.
Police said officers and paramedics were called to the pub just after 9pm after reports a man had been assaulted.
The man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene and another man, who had also been stabbed, was rushed to hospital in London.
All men involved are believed to know each other, police said.
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have launched an investigation and a 29-year-old man and 50-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Nobody else is being looked for in connection with the incident.
A police spokesperson said: "Kent Police was called to the Cricketers Inn public house in Wrotham Road shortly before 9.15pm on Saturday, November 5 2022 following a report that a man had been assaulted.
"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and two men were found to have sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds."
