Man shot in his Tasmanian home

A man is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot in his Tasmanian home.

Police say two men wearing black clothing stormed into the man's Kings Meadows home about 2am on Wednesday and shot him.

The 44-year-old is recovering at Launceston General Hospital.

The shooting follows another firearms incident at South Launceston about 6.30pm on Tuesday.

A gun was intentionally fired inside the home when there was one man there, but no one was injured.

Tasmania Police say it is an isolated and targeted incident, which may be connected to an ongoing dispute between neighbours.

Police say there is no risk to the public and ask anyone with information to phone Crime Stoppers.
