Man 'punches 15-year-old boy' on loaded school bus
A man who boarded a school bus and allegedly punched a 15-year-old student in a frightening incident has been charged.
The alleged assault was filmed onboard a bus filled with students from Sydney's Shore School returning from sports practice on Wednesday.
It’s believed that the school bus rear-ended a car on Burns Bay Rd, Lane Cove, at about 6pm when the driver of the car entered the bus and started yelling.
In the video the man can be heard yelling at the students "who stuck their finger up" and calling the students "smart a*** c****" before walking over to one of the students and allegedly punching him in the face.
The 15-year-old student was reportedly left with a broken tooth and a black eye according to 9News.
The man in the video was initially questioned by police on Wednesday evening but later released. A 20-year-old man was then charged on Thursday with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, affray, not give way to bus and failing to exchange particulars.
A 19-year-old woman was also charged with affray in relation to the bus incident.
Both the man and woman were granted conditional bail to appear in Hornsby Local Court on December 12.
