Man miraculously escapes horror crash that ripped car in half


A man has somehow managed to escape a horror crash which ripped his car in half.

The car was torn apart after the 23-year-old man hit a pole on the Augusta Highway in Port Wakefield, north of Adelaide, on Thursday morning.

Police and SA Ambulance responded to reports of the crash on the Augusta Highway about 5.40am.

The Ford Sedan was torn in half but the driver only injured an arm.

He was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment while police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Emergency services say they are amazed the driver wasn’t badly hurt or worse.

It’s believed the vehicle belonged to the driver’s father.
