Man jailed for touching women's feet on trains: 'Danger to society'

A man with a foot fetish will serve two years behind bars after he touched women’s feet on a train.

Samuel Creed, 21, from Suffolk, England, was prohibited from using the railway network via a court order when he started speaking to a woman on a train about her shoes on May 8 last year, the court heard.

Police said the woman ignored him. Creed then touched her shoes and squeezed her ankle, saying “I bet you wish you had a boyfriend like me to do this to you at night”, the court heard.

The woman reported Creed to British Transport Police. Police were able to confirm it was Creed.

In a separate incident he took off the boots of a woman and massaged her feet at a station in 2020.

Creed had been given a Criminal Behaviour Order after he was found guilty of another sexual assault at a train station in February 2020.

On January 19, he was sentenced to 26 months in jail.

Detective Sergeant Hayley Whyte said the fact Creed breached the court order proved his “intent and danger to society”.

Det Sgt Whyte said she is “pleased” to see him behind bars.

“No one should be made to feel scared or uncomfortable whilst travelling, and we are committed to making sure women in particular feel safer on the network,” she said.
