A man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of three sexual offences.

Owen Dunstan, 26, from Chellew Road, Truro, was found guilty of rape and two sexual assaults by a jury at Truro Crown Court on 28 October.

During the trial the court heard how Dunstan attacked two victims on two nights out in Truro in 2020 and 2021.

His Honour Judge Simon Carr delivered the sentence on Thursday.

Police staff investigator Martin Skinner said: “Dunstan showed no consideration whatsoever for his victims in his pursuit of sexual gratification.

“He targeted both of these young women following interactions in social environments."

Mr Skinner thanked the victims for their "immense bravery" throughout a "lengthy investigation and court process".
