Man found with dead woman in car on Adelaide street
A man is under police guard in hospital after a woman was found dead in a car in Adelaide.
Police had been hunting the car on Sunday night after concerns were raised about its occupants.
Just after 11.30pm, officers located the car on a street in the suburb of Kidman Park.
They found the man in the car, conscious but with a serious injury to his abdomen, while the woman was dead.
The man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious condition.
The woman's death is being treated as suspicious.
Police say the pair were acquainted and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A resident in the area, Suzy Papini, told The Advertiser she heard police and ambulance drive down her street about 10.30pm.
"All we could see from the bedroom was lights. It was very quiet... we feel sad for the poor woman,” Ms Papini told the publication.
