A hot cross bun is a rite of passage on Easter morning but one man sadly had to eat his holiday treat sans one crucial element — a cross.
Posting a photo of the 6-pack of buns with only a single line down the middle, Reddit user SydneyTom poked fun at supermarket giant Coles over the omission.
"You had one job, Coles," he joked.
Reddit users were quick to point out he was about to eat a 'Not Cross Buns' instead.
Always a hot topic of discussion around this time of year, Reddit users were eager to chime in with their thoughts on the bun's crossless appearance.
"Supply chain issues, only delivered half of the crosses," one user joked.
"Ring the supermarket and tell them you're a little cross," another suggested.
Others took issue with his choice of hot cross buns.
"Anyone who buys hot cross buns with raisins deserve this lol," a Reddit user commented.
"I mean, the bag is clear," another pointed out. "You coulda just not bought them…"
