WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT: A man has made a disturbing find on a public beach prompting a police investigation.
Jimmy Senda, 47, from the US state of Wisconsin, told Fox News 6 he was strolling along the shore at Samuel Myers Park Beach on Tuesday looking for washed up items to use for a sculpture.
The artist came across something wrapped in tin foil with a rubber band wrapped around it.
Curious, he opened the foil up and inside found what he first thought “looked like a chicken breast”.
“It took a little bit for it to really [register] of what was going on; it was a brain,” he told Fox News 6.
Mr Senda uploaded images of the foil-wrapped brain to Facebook. Included in the package were flowers and some paper money.
Police have taken possession of the brain and while it’s still not known what it belongs to, they believe it’s not a human brain.
On Facebook, people speculated over the brain and how it came to be on the beach.
One man wrote he believes the brain belonged to a pig.
“That’s disturbing,” one woman wrote.
