Why this man faked a heart attack to get an ambulance ride to the hospital


A man has allegedly pretended to have a heart attack so he could ride in an ambulance to hospital to escape the scene of a crime.

Kenneth Ray Couch, a 35-year-old man from Kentucky in the US, was arrested after he was found at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin on Friday.

Local news channel WYMT reports Couch stole a gun from a home in Corbin. Police attended the home but Couch had allegedly fled by faking the heart attack and calling the ambulance.

When the ambulance arrived at the hospital, he got out of the vehicle and visited the cafeteria.

WYMT reports police later found Couch still in the cafeteria and arrested him.

He is facing charges of first-degree burglary and falsely reporting an incident.
