Man faces Adelaide court on drug charges

A South Australian man will face court accused of manufacturing and trafficking ice after a police raided one of the biggest drug labs found in South Australia.

The 31-year-old from Plympton is expected to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with manufacturing a commercial quantity of methamphetamine and trafficking a controlled drug.

Officers raided the operating clandestine drug lab at a Morphett Vale home on Sunday and seized 120 kilograms of white powder, suspected to be methamphetamine, and chemicals and equipment.

Two other men have already been charged with drug offences including a 36-year-old local man known to police.

His co-accused is a 40-year-old who travelled to Australia recently on a US passport with checks being made to verify his identity and nationality.
