Man dragged from car inferno on major road
A man is fighting for his life in hospital after suffering extensive burns in a car crash and subsequent fire in Brisbane’s south.
The man, aged in his 40s, was driving along Beaudesert Rd in Archerfield, about 15km south of Brisbane’s CBD, when he lost control and crashed into a power pole near the intersection with Boundary St about 12.36pm Wednesday.
His car burst into flames, and a bystander pulled him from the vehicle before paramedics arrived.
Dramatic vision from the scene, obtained by Nine News, shows the car engulfed in flames, with thick, black smoke billowing into the air.
A man is in a critical condition with severe burns after a single-vehicle crash ignited into a raging blaze on Beaudesert Road in Archerfield just before 12:40pm today.

The man was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition, with burns across his body.
The bystander who helped the man also suffered minor burns, and was taken to the same hospital in a stable condition.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze just after 1pm.
