Man dies after hit in throat by flying tent peg
A man has died after he was hit in the throat by a tent peg.
The 61-year-old Danish man Erik Larsen Fjordvald was taking part in a motorcycle event at a camping ground in Thy, northwestern Denmark.
On Friday Mr Larsen Fjordvald was packing up his tent during inclement weather.
Amidst the storms, he was hit in the throat by a metal tent peg propelled by high winds and knocked unconscious, according to Danish Police.
He was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital where he died on Sunday, Spokesman Joergen Jensen told local media on Monday.
