Man dies after going into coma following Bali motorbike crash

A Queensland father has died following a scooter crash in Bali.

Erran Braddick, 32, suffered brain, chest and lung injuries when he was hit by a truck last weekend.

A LifeFlight Air Ambulance had been on standby after arriving in Indonesia on Wednesday night to bring him back to Mackay in North Queensland.

But his condition deteriorated on Thursday and he died in Indonesia.

A LifeLight spokesperson told Yahoo News the flight had departed Indonesia without a patient.

Earlier, his sister Daneile Braddick appealed via a GoFundMe page to bring him home.

“Our goal is to get him back onto Australian soil as costs for him to remain at a hospital in Kuta are astronomical,” she wrote on the GoFundMe page.

It raised more than $40,000 in four days.
