A murder investigation is under way after the death of an injured man found by police during a welfare check in Brisbane.
Officers discovered the man inside a home in Aster Street at Cannon Hill about 2pm, after someone called asking them to check on a person at that address.
The 59-year-old was unresponsive when they arrived. Police and paramedics fought to revive him but he died at the scene.
Inspector Geoffrey Acreman said another man known to the victim is being interviewed by police.
"They are known to each other. It's not a situation where the neighbours need to be concerned," he told reporters.
"We won't disclose the injuries at this stage. There's a number of items found inside the house, but whether they were involved in the man's death is yet to be determined."
