Man dies after falling off 25 metre cliff in SA

A man has died after falling off a cliff near Adelaide.

The 27-year-old from Athelstone is thought to have fallen about 25 metres before police found him unconscious on Gorge Road about 5km south of Torrens Hill Road at Paracombe shortly after 4pm on Saturday.

His car was found nearby, and he has been taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with life-threatening head injuries.

He died there on Sunday.

A police statement said there are no suspicious circumstances connected to the death.

Police will be preparing a report for the state coroner.
