Man 'dead for weeks' before body found at home

Police believe a man may have been dead for “a number of weeks” before they found him inside a home last week.

Officers were conducting a welfare check on Fernando Farias, 44, at a home in Cooloola Cove, in Queensland’s Gympie Region, about 2.30pm on Wednesday last week.

They discovered Mr Farias’ body inside and are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen him on or around April 24 in Brisbane.
