Man critical after alleged road rage stabbing
Police are appealing for information after a man continues to fight for life after a road rage stabbing in NSW’s Central Coast region.
Emergency services were called to James Russell Drive at Kariong about 8pm Thursday after reports of an assault.
A 42-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by two men after a road rage incident, police were told.
A man allegedly stabbed the 42-year-old in the abdomen during the altercation, with the two men then fleeing in a blue Commodore sedan before police arrived.
The 42-year-old managed to drive to a nearby home before collapsing.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was rushed to Gosford Hospital in a critical condition under police escort.
A crime scene has been established as police urge anyone with information or dash cam footage around the M1 or James Russell Drive in Kariong to come forward.
Police are also appealing for any information to identify the bright blue sedan, possibly a Holden Commodore, seen in the area.
The car was described as having a red stripe at the rear of the vehicle.
