Ten days after Victorian mother-of-three Samantha Fraser was found dead, a man has faced court charged with her murder.
The 41-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, on Thursday appeared in Bairnsdale Magistrates Court.
He will remain in custody until he next comes before a magistrate at Latrobe Valley on January 10.
Ms Fraser, 38, was found dead inside her Seagrove Way garage at Cowes on July 23, after failing to collect her children from school.
The psychologist's death rocked the Phillip Island community as police launched a public appeal for information about her death.
Just hours after homicide detectives made their latest appeal on Thursday morning, they shared news of the murder charge against the man.
Detective Inspector Tim Day described Ms Fraser's death as a "crime that strikes the heart of our own humanity".
