Man collapses just 300 metres from finish line of Sydney marathon
A man has collapsed just short of the finish line during the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman told Yahoo News Australia paramedics treated the man on Sunday with CPR at the Sydney Opera House promenade near the event’s finish line.
Nine News reports the man was about 300 metres from finishing the race when he collapsed.
“He’s been transported to St Vincent’s Hospital in a critical condition,” she said.
St Vincent’s Hospital confirmed to Yahoo News Australia he remains critical.
