Man charged after Tas boat accident

A man has been charged after a boating accident in Tasmania.

The 54-year-old was allegedly operating the boat with a blood-alcohol limit above 0.05 when it overturned off St Helens on Sunday morning, police said.

He and three crew members were rescued, with one of the men thought to have broken ribs while others were treated for minor injuries.

The 54-year-old skipper is expected to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date charged with exceeding 0.05.
