Man accused of sending indecent material to young girls online

A man has been charged after allegedly sending indecent material to young children online.

Just after 9.30am on Thursday, NSW’s Strike Force Trawler executed a search warrant on a Blayney home, west of Sydney, and seized a computer, mobile phone and electronic storage devices.

Police will allege the man was communicating online with two girls aged 10 and 11, requested explicit photos and engaged in explicit video calls with one of them.

An 18-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged with two counts of use carriage service to send indecent communication to a person under 16 years.

The man was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Bathurst Local Court on June 25.

Investigations are continuing.

NSW Police said detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) started the investigation in October 2017 after a referral from Northern Territory Police.
