A man has been charged after a shop worker was attacked during a robbery in Coventry.

The incident occurred at a newsagents on Station Street East around 06:50 BST on 8 August, said West Midlands Police.

A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation, and has been charged with robbery, stated the force.

The suspect, from Coventry is set to appear before magistrates on Monday.
