A man has been charged after allegedly driving a car used in a kidnapping where another man was shot in Sydney's southwest.
A 28-year-old man was allegedly confronted by three men - two of them armed with firearms - outside a home in Yagoona in October last year.
Police say he was shot in the shoulder and forced into a car where he was bound, repeatedly assaulted and shot a second time.
He was then dragged from the car and left in a lane in Carlton before being found by emergency services and taken to hospital in a critical condition. The man has since made a full recovery.
Police later found the car burnt out on a nearby street.
Four people have been charged over the attack, which police believe was targeted.
Koray Evecan, 28, was arrested last month at a home in Figtree, in Wollongong, and charged with being an accessory after the fact to the kidnap and assault and not disclosing the identity of his passengers.
Police allege Evecan was the driver of the car used in the kidnapping and assault.
Evecan's matter was briefly mentioned at Bankstown Local Court on Tuesday. He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Burwood Local Court on September 16.
