Man charged over fatal stabbing near Dubbo

A teen who allegedly stabbed another man during a scuffle outside a home in regional NSW has been charged with murder.

Emergency services were called to a house in Wellington, near Dubbo around 7am on Sunday, after reports of a fight involving several people.

A 24-year-old man presented to Wellington Hospital soon after with stab wounds to his stomach and neck.

He was taken to Dubbo Hospital, where he died.

A 19-year-old man was on Sunday found near the scene with facial injuries, and was charged with being armed with intent to commit indictable offence and affray.

He is also facing a domestic violence-related charge of stalking/intimidating a person with the intention to create fear of physical harm.

Following further inquiries, detectives arrested the same man on Monday and charged him with murder.

He will face Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday.
