Ex-husband charged over murder of mum found dead in garage
The ex-husband of a Victorian mother who was found dead in the garage of her Phillip Island home has been charged with her murder.
Samantha Fraser, 38, was found dead inside her Seagrove Way garage at Cowes on July 23, after failing to collect her children from school, police said.
Her ex-husband, Adrian Basham, was on Thursday charged with one count of murder.
The 41-year-old Paynesville man is expected to face Bairnsdale Magistrates Court later today.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who has dashcam footage taken on Monday July 23 in the vicinity of Phillip Island between 7am and 1pm. People with footage who have not already spoken to police are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
They would also like to hear from anyone with CCTV footage from Seagrove Way or surrounding streets or anywhere on Phillip island on the day of Samantha’s death.
Police are further continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed a man wearing a black hoodie with a distinctive dark blue band on the midriff and arms of the item or saw any motorcycle activity in the area on the day.
