A man has been charged with deprivation of liberty and assault after allegedly holding a woman for several hours against her will at a Perth home before she escaped.
Police allege a man and a woman who met on Monday, began arguing at a home in the southern suburb of Maddington on Tuesday morning.
The man allegedly assaulted the woman and threatened her with firearms while demanding she stay at the property.
The woman escaped and sought help from a neighbour before being taken to Armadale Hospital where she was treated for facial injuries.
The man was later arrested without incident and police allege replica firearms, weapons and drug paraphernalia were found during a search of the property.
A 46-year-old Maddington man is facing several charges, including deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm, and being armed in a way that may cause fear.
He will appear in Armadale Magistrates Court later on Wednesday.
