A man has been charged after three people were allegedly assaulted during a late-night home invasion in Sydney's west.
The victims - a 42-year-old man, 46-year-old woman and 17-year-old male - were at a Marrickville apartment at about 11.15pm on Friday when a 21-year-old man arrived and an argument ensued, police said.
It's alleged the 21-year-old soon let another man into the unit and the two of them, armed with a machete and metal pipe, assaulted the three occupants before leaving the scene.
Police say the 21-year-old has since been arrested and charged with intent to cause actual bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intimidation, affray and assault.
He was refused bail and will appear at Newtown Local Court on Monday.
