Grave concerns are held for a man who was seen dragged screaming into a car by three men in Sydney's west at the weekend.
Two men were spotted dragging the victim, believed to be in his 20s, while a third man punched him as they forced him into the backseat of a dark-coloured hatchback and drove off from Lakemba Street at Wiley Park about 5am on Sunday.
Witnesses also reported hearing him scream and swear as he struggled to escape, Inspector James Dark told reporters in Sydney on Thursday.
CCTV footage from about five minutes before the suspected kidnapping shows a slim man, of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance with short dark hair, stumbling eastwards along Lakemba Street clutching his stomach.
"We have grave concerns for his welfare," Insp Dark said.
"We need to know who he is and if he is okay."
Police say nobody has yet come forward to claim the identity of the man, or to file a missing person's report.
