Man shouting Avengers spoilers gets beaten up by furious fans

A man has reportedly been beaten up outside a cinema for giving out spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.

A picture, which has circulated on web forum LIKHG, shows the man being assessed outside of what’s believed to be a cinema in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, Taiwanese news network TVBS reported.

It’s not clear what day the photo was taken but the movie was released in cinemas on April 24.

Some have questioned the photo’s authenticity but moviegoers told TVBS the man was ”telling the story loudly at the door” as they entered the theatre.

He was then beaten up by angry fans.

The film’s directors, Anthony and Joseph Russo, tweeted a week before the film’s release pleading with fans not to reveal the ending.

“When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you,” a letter in the tweet reads.

The film has taken home an estimated AU$914 million at the box office on its opening weekend, breaking a record previously held by its predecessor in the franchise, Avengers: Infinity War, CNN reported.
