A 21-year-old man has been charged with the stabbing murder of another man in western Sydney.

Police arrested the man in Mount Druitt on Tuesday and charged him with the murder of a 22-year-old from Minchinbury. His body was discovered at a reserve in Emu Plains in September.

A vehicle found crashed nearby was seized for forensic examination.

Two other men, aged 22 and 26, were previously arrested and charged over their alleged roles in the incident and they remain before the courts.

The 21-year-old man, who cannot be named, appeared before Mount Druitt Local Court on Tuesday, where he did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

He will next face Penrith Local Court on January 15.
