A four-day manhunt has ended with the arrest of a 46-year-old man who was on the run after police shot dead another man on the NSW Central Coast last week.
Police arrested a man wanted on outstanding warrants as investigations continue into the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man by police at at semi-rural property at Hamlyn Terrace last Thursday.
Detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad were hunting a 46-year-old man, who was wanted on a number of outstanding warrants.
The man was arrested at a Springfield home, near Gosford, about 6.30pm on Sunday.
He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, stalking and intimidation and two outstanding warrants, and refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Monday.
Last Thursday police shot dead the 37-year-old man after tracking two men in a stolen Land Cruiser to a semi-rural property following an earlier pursuit that was abandoned.
One of the two men then threatened the officers with a firearm and was shot while the second man fled.
Investigations into the critical incident are continuing.
All information will be provided to the Coroner who will determine the cause of death and make any findings about the events leading to the man's death.
