Man allegedly kicked, bit police in Sydney

A man has been charged after allegedly kicking a police officer in the face, biting two other officers and punching a constable in Sydney's east.

Police were called to a Potts Point hotel on Saturday night following reports of a domestic incident and upon arrival tried to speak to a 24-year-old man who became aggressive and resisted arrest, NSW Police said in a statement on Sunday.

The man allegedly kicked a 30-year-old male senior constable in the face, bit two male officers and punched a constable in the face.

The 24-year-old was arrested and taken to Kings Cross station where he allegedly spat at another senior constable.

He was charged with five counts of assault police, cause grievous bodily harm to police, resist arrest and intimidate police.

The Lethbridge Park man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

All officers were treated by paramedics, with the 30-year-old senior constable expected to undergo dental surgery for damage to his teeth.
