Man, 39, charged over stabbing murder after four-hour siege


A man has been charged with the stabbing death of former soldier Nathan Frazer on a road north of Brisbane.

The 39-year-old is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday after he was charged with one count of murder.

Police arrested the man on Friday night after a four-hour siege situation in Carseldine, in Brisbane’s north.

The situation forced several streets to be placed inside an exclusion zone before specialist police entered a hotel room shortly after midnight and took the man into custody.

The man is accused of killing Mr Frazer, who died from wounds to his chest and face on a Murrumba Downs road early on Thursday.
