A man has been charged with rape after he dropped an 11-year-old girl at hospital.

Wendell Sanchez, 34, from Gonzales in the US state of Louisiana, dropped the girl off at hospital on Sunday about 7pm.

Police said the girl had complained of abdominal pains. Sanchez waited in his car.
