Major delays after person hit by train
Trains have resumed at one of Brisbane’s busiest train stations after a person was hit by a train on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to South Bank Station in Brisbane shortly after 9am after reports someone was hit by a train.
A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance told NewsWire paramedics were treating a person with head injuries at Colchester Street.
The person has since been transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
A spokesperson for Queensland Rail confirmed trains on the Cleveland Line between Roma Street and Park Road had been temporarily suspended while authorities were on the scene, with delays of up to 60 minutes expected.
Train lines have since resumed and are operating as usual.
