MAGGIE STEFFENS: I'm Maggie Steffens, two-time Olympic gold medalist and current captain of the USA Women's Water Polo team. I have been on the team for about 10, 11 years. And the Olympics are still a dream of mine.

I graduated from Stanford, ended up staying there for my master's, another year. And was fortunate to get to play abroad and in Hungary and in Spain. And then came back and now grinding away for the Olympic dream at [? LosAl ?] here in Southern California. So I'm originally from NorCal, Bay area crowd. But now, this is my home as we've been training.

Every single person on our team in could be one of the best in the world and so it makes it really hard to train. Every single practice is very, very tough. I have to go against Maddie Mussleman, Rachel Fatall, Melissa Seidemann, and then somehow score on Ashleigh Johnson. So we get to feel that competition every day and with that, it's just going to help our team rise and then help the sport of water polo rise.
