MAFS' Samantha Moitzi reveals shock $2500 show detail
Married At First Sight bride Samantha Moitzi has revealed a surprise behind-the-scenes detail about the cost of her wedding outfit.
The reality star, who was matched with Al Perkins on season nine, revealed that her dress, jewellery, shoes and veil came to just $2500.
She said on Instagram she went shopping with a friend 10 days before her blind TV wedding, and was forced to lie to shop assistants as she could not reveal she was starring on the show.
"With only 10 days notice I had to buy off the rack, so it was hard to find something that fit that was me," she said.
"It also had to be approved by your producer so it matched your wedding (which I had no idea about)."
She said she was also unprepared for all the questions she would be asked about her fiance.
"Trying not to laugh our heads off at the countless lies coming out of our mouths (we weren't allowed to tell anyone)," she said.
Showing a final shot of the wedding dress approved by producers, Samantha said it was "definitely not what I had in mind".
Samantha did not stay with Al following MAFS, and in May made a surprising Tinder admission.
Replying to a question during an Instagram Q&A that read, "Are you on Tinder yet?" Sam jokingly replied, "Yeah babe! Swipe right, or left, I don't actually know, which one's the good one?"
She then dropped the bombshell that MAFS stars this year weren't actually allowed to be on the dating app.
"No, we're not on Tinder, none of us are allowed to be on Tinder, it's part of our contract and also... ew! No thanks, I'm good," she said.
Elsewhere in the Q&A, the reality star was asked what the tattoo on her stomach says.
"So, my tattoo says 'delicate', but it's in kind of like badass writing, so that's the whole thing with me I guess, like from the outside I'm super extroverted, confident, blah blah blah, and then on the inside, I'm quite sensitive, a bit delicate," she said.
