MAFS producers forced to 'ramp up security' at the dinner parties
It’s no secret Married at First Sight knows how to dish up the drama.
And while we know the infamous dinner parties always provide something to talk about, things are apparently set to get so heated, the show’s producers were forced to step in during filming.
A source has claimed that security actually had to be 'ramped up' at the dinner parties after an incident, which saw one of the brides reportedly yelling for someone to ‘call the police’.
According to New Idea, producers had to step in as tensions between participants escalated to a point where there was a real fear of violence.
The bust up is reportedly the result of a ‘cheating’ scandal that rocks the current cast, with the hook-up in question to be featured on MAFS in the coming weeks.
One of the betrayed grooms was said to be ‘absolutely ropeable’ and went to ‘confront’ the other party.
MAFS producers forced to take a break from filming
It was clear things were destined to get heated during this new season of MAFS, after it was revealed last year MAFS producers were actually forced to take a break from filming.
According to an insider, who spoke to the Hit Network’s Nick, Jess & Simon back in October, the show was getting so out of control that producers needed to call a break.
“You wonder how loose it got, apparently, they’ve just started filming again after a two-week break because the producers were just like, ‘this is going too far, we need to resettle ourselves, take a two-week filming break and then work out how we can tackle the rest of the season,” the radio hosts relayed.
They went on to speculate about the producers and commented that, “for them to go, ‘guys we need a two-week break,’ means whatever they [the contestants] did must be really bad.”
