MAFS' Olivia says she 'completely understands' the backlash to her edit

She’s faced the most backlash out of everyone on this year’s season of Married At First Sight, and now Olivia Frazer admits that she “completely understands” why people aren’t a fan of the way she was portrayed on the show.

The 28-year-old, who was at the centre of this season’s biggest scandal after sharing a nude photo of fellow bride Domenica Calarco with her co-stars without her consent, took to Instagram on Tuesday to answer fan questions about her time on the show and her on-screen depiction.

“What was shown on MAFS isn’t what really happened, there’s a whole lot more to it,” she detailed.

“But what was shown, I would have the same opinions of myself. What they made me look like goes against everything that I believe in.

“So although I understand why people would have those opinions of me, I can’t understand why people are so invested in Married At First Sight. Like, threatening my life, coming to my home, very serious scary things. I don’t understand how people take it to that level.”

Olivia also asserted that while she understands why people are “triggered” by her “character” on MAFS, it’s not at all what she’s like in real life.

“And I personally haven’t done anything to you, so please leave me alone,” she added.

'Whiney little b***hes'

In another Instagram Story, one follower asked Olivia for her thoughts on the show’s editing in previous seasons before she had actually experienced it herself.

“I thought people who claimed ‘bad edit’ were like, whiney little b***hes. I thought that too until I lived it,” she remarked.

A different follower also questioned why Olivia decided to stay on social media amid the heavy backlash online.

“I can just scroll past awful comments,” she replied. “I see social media as my only way to get my real personality out there and my only way to really defend myself and to really set the record straight.”

'I'm doing it'

Elsewhere in the Q&A, Olivia confirmed once again that she’s joining OnlyFans.

“I’ve made [an account], I just haven’t set it up properly yet or shot any content or anything,” she teased.

"But yeah, I’m doing it, ‘cos I never saw anything wrong with it so I may as well.”

She went on to confess that she’s “very nervous” about how OnlyFans will affect her chances of eventually becoming a teacher.

“Honestly, Jack and I had this conversation the other day and I don’t know, it might,” she said, before adding, “I don’t see how it could be any worse than what’s already happened very publicly.”

Olivia’s Instagram Stories come shortly after she announced that she’s joined Memmo, a website where ‘fans’ can request personalised videos from celebrities.

She charges $30 per short video, with her description reading: “Hey! Olivia here! Are you looking to brighten up someone’s day? Order a video from me if you know someone who’s got a special occasion coming up or needs cheering up, or a laugh.”
