Made in Chelsea's Stephanie Pratt has penned a heartfelt tribute to George Gilbey, who tragically passed away aged 40 this week.

Per an official police statement, the Gogglebox favourite fell from a height at work in Southend-on-Sea, with a friend also telling The Sun: "He was up on the roof and the other [workers] were shouting at him to get down and to be careful. Then, he apparently came through a skylight, so fell from the outside of the roof about 80ft on to concrete inside."

Paying her respects on Instagram today (March 30), Gilbey's grief-stricken Celebrity Big Brother co-star Pratt shared a number of pictures from their time in the reality TV house together.

"I just now heard the devastating news of George Gilbey's passing," she wrote.

"I'm at a loss for words – it never makes sense when someone who is so unbelievably kind is taken from this world. George really was the most beautiful person – I don't think I've ever met anyone as lovely, sweet, funny, humble, charismatic, thoughtful... I mean the list truly goes on.

"He was so out of this world special – I wanted to be around him every second in the [CBB] house – and I was. I was in awe & addicted to his charm and personality. He was a rare gem. I treasure my memories of him. Omg did he make me laugh."

Pratt continued: "He really was extraordinary which makes this so hard for his family & friends & I am so so sorry for your tragic loss. I am so lucky to have spent time in his radiant glow. He was really something else #ripGorgeousGeorge."
