A family is mourning a mum who lost her life in a horrific head-on collision involving four vehicles in Victoria.
Rose Kelly, 43, was killed on Thursday while driving on the Nepean Highway in Seaford, south of Melbourne.
The Herald Sun reported a P-plater swerved onto the wrong side of the road, hitting her vehicle and two others just after 6:30am.
Ms Kelly’s family released a statement to the media thanking the public for their messages of support and tributes to the mother.
“Rose was a loving wife and mother to her beautiful 10-year-old son. She dedicated her life to educating young children,” the Herald Sun reported.
Emergency services worked to free Ms Kelly from her vehicle but she tragically died at the scene.
"Her life was devastatingly and shockingly taken too soon," Ms Kelly’s family said.
Victoria police arrested a 20-year-old man from Sandringham over the crash.
He will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday, charged with one count of dangerous driving causing death.
