The hotly anticipated Love Island Australia premiered on Sunday night and it was met with, um, mixed reactions.

While there was definitely an audience who – for lack of a better word – suffered through it, Twitter was less than impressed.

Five genetically blessed women in bikinis met five genetically blessed men without shirts on, and they had to couple up. The end.

One viewer described the show as “the low point in Australian Television history”.

While others wondered if they would regain their lost brain cells.

One user watched it for a loved one…

…while another hoped for memory loss.

Some Tweeters applauded the ‘diversity’ of the show…

But others were straight-up unimpressed.

While most of Australia was left reeling from Love Island, there were a few that were into it…
